Houthis Declare Drone Assault on 4 Ships at Israel’s Haifa Port
Yemen-based Houthis say they’ve attacked 4 ships at Israel’s northern Haifa port in a joint operation with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq militant group. The Houthi navy spokesperson, Yahya Sarea, mentioned that the 2 teams launched a drone assault on two cement tankers and two cargo ships on the Haifa port on June 22. He mentioned the ships “violated the ban on coming into the ports of occupied Palestine”. This comes because the Houthis have stepped up assaults within the Pink Sea, focusing on ships in what they declare is in solidarity with Palestinians within the Gaza warfare. Earlier, the Houthis claimed to have attacked the US plane provider Eisenhower; nonetheless, this declare was dismissed by the US navy. On June 23, US forces reported destroying three Houthi vessels within the Pink Sea.
